Core Commitment: GolfScope performs all AI tracking and detection entirely on your device. The camera feed is processed locally and never uploaded. Your practice and data stay private on your device.

1. What Data We Collect

The app’s core visual analysis functionality runs entirely offline. Therefore:

2. How Data is Stored and Processed

• 📱 All AI/Machine Learning computations are performed on-device (Edge AI).
• 🎥 Recorded videos with swing data overlays are saved directly to your local photo gallery or in-app library.
• ✅ No videos, images, or swing metrics are ever transmitted to any cloud servers.

3. Device Permissions

To enable its core functionality, the app will clearly request the following permissions upfront:

• 📷 Camera Permission: Required. Used to capture the live feed for AI tracking of the golf ball, club, and player. Processed locally.
• 🎤 Microphone Permission: Optional. Required only if you choose to record videos with ambient audio (e.g., club strike sound).

By downloading, installing, or using GolfScope (hereinafter referred to as “the App”), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use the App.

2. Privacy and Data

You acknowledge that all core data processing occurs locally on your device. We do not collect or back up your videos or swing data. Uninstalling the app may result in the deletion of locally stored videos. It is your responsibility to export and save important videos.

3. Disclaimer (Important)

• • Accuracy Limitations: The App uses on-device camera feeds and physics models for visual estimation. Results regarding ball speed, flight trajectory, and carry distance are for reference only. Actual accuracy is highly dependent on environmental factors such as lighting, camera angle, and background complexity.
• • Not a Professional Radar Replacement: The App is designed as a training aid and instant feedback tool for practice. It is NOT intended to replace professional, hardware-based launch monitors for official club fitting or tournament metrics.
• • Assumption of Risk: When setting up your device on a driving range or golf course, please take precautions to protect it from being hit by a ball or golf club. We are not liable for any physical damage to your device, personal injury, or data loss resulting from the use of the App.

4. Intellectual Property

The App’s interface design, Edge AI engine logic, and software architecture are the intellectual property of the developer. You may not reverse engineer or commercially redistribute the App.
